Meanwood Valley Urban Farm is in Meanwood in Leeds. At 24 acres it is a little oasis of farm animals (chickens, donkeys, goats and horses), poly tunnels, orchards and food plots.
The entrance fee is modest (£2 for adults and 50p for children) and it has produce for sale including fresh vegetables, eggs, jams and chutney. There is also a lovely little cafe to get a bite to eat.
If you are staying in Leeds, then you can walk here via part of the Meanwood Valley Trail. You can easily spend half a day here including lunch.
I love that you can just walk around in such a beautiful mix of wildflower meadows, woods and open hillsides. It is a bit of a hidden gem for visitors as it is slightly off the beaten track. However, it is well worth seeking out if you want to visit a farm while you visit the city of Leeds.
