Singapore is a great place to eat! When I visited in May, my friend suggested we try the Open Community Farm for dinner. We had dropped in on a previous visit to Singapore. However, the restaurant had been closed for a corporate event. This time we booked ahead.
The Open Community Farm is about, ‘…spearheading local farming, connecting the community to nature, and celebrating local spirit’. What a lovely initiative. It ticked all the boxes for me.
For a starter, we shared with a warm salad of broccoli, pine nuts, sugar snap peas, crumbled feta and minden mint. And for mains, we selected fish dishes. I had the red grouper, peas, mint puree, grilled baby cos and chimichurri and my friend ate Coconut laksa barramundi, crushed potato cake with bok choy.
This is an experience that is a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. I would love to go back and eat there again when I next visit Singapore. The Open Farm Community is located close to the Singapore Botanic Gardens so you can combine a trip to both of these Singapore treats.
