30 Days Wild – Day 3 Wildflowers

The Wildlife Trusts in the UK has challenged people to go wild throughout June this year. So for the month of June, I am blogging each day about a random act of wildness!

Travelling and wildlife go together. Landscapes, cityscapes and skyscapes all hold an abundance of wildlife to enjoy.  We can often miss the little pockets of wildlife that are all around us, and we pass by every day. So I am enjoying this challenge as a way to stay more present to my surroundings and to notice what wildlife already forms part of my daily life.

Wildflowers

Today I was present to the wildflowers that were out. On my walk to work, I came across a small community garden that had beautiful wildflowers – perfect for attracting insects and bugs to be pollinators. The gate had a sign with a list of the wildflowers that are good for attracting insects and bugs.

If you sent away for a pack from the Wildlife Trusts, then it will contain a pack of wildflower seeds to sow.

Tonight I am going to enjoy the sunset and then on Sunday look for a new garden in London to visit.
